Thanksgiving 2009

‘Tis the season to be thankful. I’m thankful for:

  • My God and His love for me — my relationship with Him has blossomed over the past few months; He has been speaking to me in new and interesting ways; that keeps me going
  • My wife Mandy — I cannot imagine living the past 11 years (especially the past several months) without her
  • Lizzy, Jake & Luke — they are good-looking, brilliant, and constantly challenging me as a father; they truly are my favorite people in the world
  • Cancer — cancer is the best thing that has ever happened to me; I would love for it to go away, but because of it, I have learned so much about being a husband, father, friend and child of God
  • My wise counsel / mentors — I am fortunate to have a handful of people that are always there for me; they give me objective counsel, harsh criticism, and loving encouragement… you know who you are
  • Vision — God is giving me a very strong passion and vision for some exciting things; I cannot believe I get to do things for Him and for the Kingdom
  • My church & my job — I get to be part of something awesome at NewSpring; and then I get to go to  work there
  • My teammates — the people I work with (especially my team in Central Operations) are incredibly meaningful to me; their friendship is invaluable
  • My family — I am related to a tremendous amount of people who love me an awful lot
  • My home/dog/stuff — I have been blessed to live in a beautiful home in a beautiful state with a beautiful dog and we have altogether way too much stuff that I am quite fond of
