Good Things

It has been a long, tiring week: five straight days of chemo is not something I would encourage anyone to try. But it is over now and I am feeling much better. I had fatigue like I have never experienced before; the other side-effects were minimal. The bloody noses are back as is the nasty heartburn, yet I am happy not to deal with the neuropathy from previous treatments.

All in all, though, there are many good things going on.

Psalm 84:11 — For the Lord God is a sun and shield; the Lord bestows favor and honor. No good thing does he withhold from those who walk uprightly.

Romans 8:32 — He who did not spare his own Son but gave him up for us all, how will he not also with him graciously give us all things?

That is cool. God is good and the goodness He has bestowed on me is immeasurable. I was overjoyed this afternoon with my lovely wife and my three, awesome kids. I had one of those realization moments — God has blessed me so much with the four of them. Thanks!
