Five Down, Seven To Go
“No bellyaching.” That phrase hit me this week. When I consider how I have been able to go to work while having chemo; when I consider having side-effects that are obviously bearable; when I consider the platform God has allowed me to have to encourage others — it becomes clear that there is really no need for bellyaching.
The fifth round of chemo is waning; the side-effects were somewhat diminished thanks to a lower dosage of the Oxaliplatin. The Avastin, however, is causing more annoyances — primarily with the nose bleeds. Because of that, I have decided to postpone my wisdom tooth removal until 2010 — after I’m all done with chemo.
One more round of chemo and I’m halfway done!

Funny (but, not really), I am also having to postpone my wisdom teeth extraction this year because of my chemo. As for the “bellyaching,” you are entitled to as much of it as you want, even if things are bearable.
Thanks, Dan. It is funny that amid all this, we have to deal with tooth issues. Wisdom teeth used to be a big deal in my mind and now it just seems pretty minor.
