Three Down, Nine To Go
I am now a quarter done with [the initial phase of] chemotherapy. Perhaps it is mind over matter, but it appears that this round of chemo was a little easier than the previous two. And it has been more intense. What I mean is that the side-effects seem to have been much more pronounced these past few days, but the number of days that they have been around appears to be lessened.
The primary difference this time around was the full presence of the neuropathy in my fingers. What I thought was neuropathy before was clearly just a mirage of what was to come. Now I know what it is like to have painful needle-like pricking at my fingertips which essentially prevents me from doing most of the things I enjoy doing: typing, playing Xbox, playing piano. Even writing and turning pages of books becomes difficult. The neuropathy has also expanded the electricity-in-the-mouth from cold drinks to now include cold air. Whenever I breathe in sharply, my mouth explodes in a sort of electric pain.
So — the experience has been more intense, but as I said, the timeline appears to be shorter for it to be gone. And for that I am grateful. Thanks to those who pray for me and encourage me daily
I still loathe the idea of chemo and cannot imagine going back in a few days for #4. But, of course, I will. In the meantime, I am excited to have a very busy week of work ahead of me.

I am was very sad to hear of your challenge in life. You are so young. But if anyone can meet this challenge you can. I am going to say my prayers are with you. I remember what a balancing personality you were on Milstar and I am sure still are with whatever current endeavor you are one. You are an example for others. I wish the best. You are an awesome person.
