Easter in a Nutshell
As I understand it, Easter is the day we celebrate the death and resurrection of Jesus.
It is the death of Jesus that takes care of our sin and makes us right with God. It is the resurrection of Jesus that allows us to enjoy eternal life with Him. Both of these — being right with God and living in Heaven forever — are available free of charge for those who simply believe in Jesus.
Those that do not believe in Jesus and accept this free gift will instead spend eternity suffering in hell.
