It seems that fear and guilt haunts all of us as we are all sinners and yes, we all have the skeletons in the closet. But, for me, I find peace because God did send his son, who died on the Cross and forgives us of our sins. With this grace we must forgive ourselves and let go of the guilt. With this grace we hope that that others will forgive us as God has done. Some fear is good -- I fear haning around the ponds around the golf courses here in south Louisianna because there might be a Gator lurking around. There are stories where gators get golfers who are looking for their water balls. So, when I'm near the ponds my fear keeps me alert and hopefully out of danger. But, like you point out, some fear is bad. Some fear leads to guilt and the grace of God is our only salvation. But you already know this...
