High on the list of sad stories in the Bible is the story of Solomon’s departure from God. Solomon, who was born to David and Bathsheba, was promised the kingdom from an early age. He was the one who first built the Temple. He became the wisest man alive. People came from all over the world to see him. They came to hear him speak. They came to hear his wisdom. “Worshipping God is all about your heart.”
“Listening to a sermon is worship.”
“It is time to worship God by giving.”
“You can worship God in everything you do.”
“Let’s clap for Jesus.”

Here is my definition of worship: worship is the natural result when someone loves God and is thoughtfully aware of His awesome perfection. What does that look like? (Read on …)
