Hello,

When I arrived in LA from Mexico, I rushed to shower and get to the airport (thanks, Kaveneys!) on time for my flight. I was headed to Boston for a week-long conference for work. When I got to the airport, I was informed that the flight to Boston was full and that only middle seats were left. The Boeing 757 airplane can hold between 200 and 300 people, depending on the configuration of the seats. I was not very pleased to know that I would be seated between two people for this long, five hour flight. The flight left at 11pm and landed just after 7am in Boston. It should be noted that I had a conference to be at not long after I landed (about 9am) – any sleep I was going to have for the day would have to come on this flight. (Read on …)

Hola.

I recently traveled to Mexico with 17 from FUEL (the college ministry at Calvary Baptist in Bellflower). Here are my thoughts on what happened: (Read on …)

“God” News

Hello,

Mandy has been in Phoenix for a couple of days and I’ve been taking care of the kids. Lizzy spends most of the day at school, but the two boys are quite a handful. They are always hungry, they have an uncanny ability to disperse toys all across the house, and they often play rough with each other. (Just this morning, they were eating yogurt and I told them, “Don’t make a mess.” As I was walking down to the basement, Luke yelled out, “Daddy! You mean don’t make a mess like this?” I kept on walking.) I am very grateful for my two boys. While Jake and Luke can cause me frustration, I consider them very valuable. They have great worth to me. I want to tell you a story about two sons who were worthless. (Read on …)

Read John 13:21-30.

Then read this article for a refutation of the Gospel of Judas news we’ve been hearing.

Hello,

Not long after Jesus provided food for the five thousand (Mark 6:30-44) he provided food for the four thousand (Mark 8:1-10). It is after this that the Pharisees come to test Him by asking for a sign (Mark 8:11-13). In Deuteronomy 13:1-3 and 18:18-22, God tells how to test for false prophets and it appears the Pharisees were attempting to test Jesus by using these passages as their guide. Jesus sighs a great sigh of sadness as He realizes that nothing would make these hypocrites believe. We can notice back then (and today) that requests for “proof” are usually smoke-screens for unbelief. Then Jesus and His disciples get into a boat. (Read on …)
